Adivi Sesh established himself as an actor who experiments doing unconventional roles and movies which are not mainstream Tollywood. Ever since the mystery thriller Kshanam and spy action drama Goodachari have been released, he has been on a roll with notable hits. Now, Adivi Sesh and team Major have pulled off an 18hrs shoot shift.
The film’s shooting has been resumed recently by following all the COVID-19 rules and regulations issued by the government. Recently, Adivi Sesh even revealed that the team of Major pulled off an 18-hour shift. Lauding them for the hard work, he wrote, “18-hour continuous shoot for #MajorTheFilm yesterday. I’m proud of the team. The harder you work, the luckier you get.” (sic)

The actor is playing the role of 26/11 Martyr Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who lost his life in the Mumbai terrorist attacks. Sandeep Unnikrishnan is an Ashoka Chakra recipient, India’s highest peacetime military decoration awarded for valour, courageous action or self-sacrifice away from the battlefield. Bollywood actress Saiee Manjrekar, who was last seen in Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3 was roped in to play a crucial role.

Major is directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka. Adivi Sesh and Sashi Kiran Tikka earlier collaborated for Goodachari and now all eyes are on Major. Sobhita Dhulipala is paired opposite Adivi Sesh in the film. Major is jointly produced by Mahesh Babu, Sony Pictures India and A+S Movies. This movie will also mark the debut of Mahesh Babu as a producer with his banner GMB Entertainments.
