Mahesh Babu, the first South Indian superstar to earn a spot in the Madame Tussauds IIFA Awards Hall, Singapore, is currently on cloud nine. The actor is currently experiencing a moment of elation, confusion and excitement, all at the same time. Amidst a lot of buzz, celebration and revelry, Mahesh Babu’s wax statue was inaugurated today at the AMB Cinemas. Mahesh Babu, along with his family and friends, was at the venue today to inaugurate the statue.
His fans, the media and the celebrities, who eagerly waited for this moment, got a glimpse of Mahesh Babu’s wax statue and are super happy with the accuracy with which it was made. According to its makers, it took more than 200 measurements, 20 artisans and over 6 months of hard work to design the statue to make it look the way it does today.
According to Mahesh Babu, the texture of his skin, the shape of his nails, the colour of his eyes, the colour of his hair and many more incredibly minute details were accounted and were reflected in the statue with utmost care. The makers revealed, every strand of hair was individually placed on the scalp of the statue to make it look as authentic as possible. While Mahesh Babu’s wax statue will be shipped back to Madame Tussauds, Singapore tomorrow, the statue will be open for tourists in Singapore.
It is indeed a moment of pride for all the Telugu people to have our very own Telugu star’s statue among the statues of global celebrities. Mahesh Babu is currently working on his next big project, Maharshi, in which he plays a college student, a business tycoon and a revolutionary thinker. Vamsi Paidipally is the director of Maharshi, while Pooja Hegde, Allari Naresh and Prakash Raj are playing key roles.
