Liger is the upcoming movie of the director Puri Jagannadh. The lead actor of the film is Vijay Deverakonda. This is the first time Vijay Deverakonda and Puri Jagannadh have worked together. Also, Puri Jagannadh and Vijay Deverakonda’s first pan-Indian film is Liger. On August 25th, Liger is going to be released. Along with Vijay Deverakonda, Puri Jagannadh is very actively involved in the movie’s promotion. He is also eager to make a strong comeback to Hindi cinema. In a recent interview with the Bollywood media, Puri Jagannadh discussed the film Liger and other topics, including his dream actor and dream project.
Puri Jagannadh discussed his path into the Telugu film industry with the Bollywood media. Puri Jagannadh claimed that his interest in cinema began as a result of his father’s profession as an exhibitor in their hometown. “I used to write stories when I was a child. I once had the opportunity to write and direct a play in my hometown. Because of my talent, my father handed me 20,000 rupees to try my luck in the Telugu film industry. As a result, I made my debut in Tollywood in 2000. 22 years later, I’m still thrilled with each of my films. I already have plans and stories for the following ten years,” Puri Jagannadh said about his entry into the film industry.
Puri Jagannadh also revealed about his dream project and dream actor. “My dream project is JGM, thus I’m thrilled to work with Vijay Deverakonda on it again right after Liger. Chiranjeevi is my dream actor. I once had the chance to work on a movie with him, but it did not happen. I still have the dream to direct him. Soon when JGM is completed, I shall go to him with another script. In the near future, I also have plans to work with two of my favourite Bollywood stars, Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh,” said Puri Jagannadh.
Liger is going to be released on August 25th worldwide in multiple languages. Puri Jagannadh himself produced the film in association with Charmee Kaur and Karan Johar under the banners of Puri Connects and Dharma Productions. Ananya Panday is the lead actress in the film. Mike Tyson and Ramya Krishnan played prominent roles. Liger is a perfect masala commercial movie, as stated by Puri Jagannadh during the promotion of the film.
