Kamal Haasan And Mani Ratnam’s New Film Announced: The Legendary Duo Join Hands After 35 Years

Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam are the two legends who changed the face and future of Tamil cinema with their respective blockbusters for more than three decades. The duo also did a film together titled Nayakudu (aka Nayagan in Tamil) in 1987. It’s been 35 years since the film was released, and it is still the best gangster film in Indian cinema. Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam recently delivered blockbusters at the box office with Vikram and PS 1 (aka Ponniyin Selvan 1), respectively. Both films were huge blockbusters at the box office. On the occasion of Kamal Haasan’s birthday today, the universal hero announced a film with Mani Ratnam.

Kamal Haasan’s 234th film is going to be written and directed by Mani Ratnam. Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam are producing the film together. Udhayanidhi Stalin is going to present the film. Today, Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, and Udhayanidhi Stalin met together and made the announcement officially. AR Rahman is going to compose the music for the film. The film is going to be released in multiple languages. The audience have huge expectations for the film since it’s the collaboration of the legendary duo after 35 years. The makers of KH234 also announced that the film is going to be released in 2024.

Kamal Haasan is currently shooting for Indian 2 (aka Bharateeyudu 2 in Telugu) under the direction of Shankar. On the other hand, Mani Ratnam is currently making things ready for the production of PS 2 next year. So KH234 is likely to be started after the release of Kamal’s film with Shankar and Mani Ratnam’s PS 2. Well, the official updates on the production of the film are still awaited.
