The Tamil-language short documentary film The Elephant Whisperers has been nominated for the Best Documentary Short Film category at the 95th Academy Awards. This has successfully bagged the award. It was presented to the director of the film, Kartiki Gonsalves, and Guneet Monga. This film became the first Indian-produced short film to win Academy Awards.

Both the films RRR and The Elephant Whisperers have made Indian cinema proud by rising to global standards. The writer of the film The Elephant Whisperers is Priscilla Gonsalves. The story revolves around the beautiful bond between a couple who are connected to a baby elephant named Raghu. This film is shot in Tamilnadu with a deep knowledge of animal and human relationships. Both the films RRR and The Elephant Whisperers, which got Academy Awards today, are available for streaming on Netflix.
