After the postponement of the film from the original release date, Good Luck Sakhi finally releases on 28th January 2022. The film created positive vibes around with the looks and the trailer. “Good Luck Sakhi” Telugu Movie Review:
Story:
Sakhi who is well known for her bad luck and also nicknamed so, is unable to find a guy for her marriage. Every groom gets injured a few hours before the marriage. So she finally gives up on her marriage. Goli Raju, who is the childhood friend of Sakhi encourages her towards shooting. Knowing about Sakhi’s skill in aiming at things sharply, Goli Raju takes her to a Colonel who is searching for some great talent in shooting so as to train them for nationals. How Sakhi gets trained, exposes her skills, and how she would prove herself at the nationals with her hard work against her bad luck is the rest of the story.
On-Screen Performances:
Keerthy Suresh brings out an intense performance as a sportsperson. Also, she is well fit into the role of an innocent girl from a rural background. Her body language, dialect, and looks add a great advantage to the story. Aadhi Pinisetty as a theatre artist in his zone of acting and gave his best. Jagapathi Babu with his inspirational lines is perfectly set as a coach. He drives the protagonist towards her goal all over the film. Rahul Ramakrishna justifies his role.
Off-Screen Highlights:
Nagesh Kukunoor, the director of the film, is well known for his experience in the sports genre, lived up to his skills and presented the film beautifully. The sports portion in the film is perfectly picturised in detail. The conversion of the character Sakhi from being innocent into a national-level sportswoman throughout the run of the story is well penned and picturised. The village set up in the film is a treat to watch. Credit goes to the art department. The run time of the film is short and crisp as required by the core of the story. Editing is fine with this perfect cut. The production values are so great. Setting the high standards on the debut itself is a great mark from the producers. The background score from Devi Sri Prasad is another highlight of the film, lifting the standards of a sports drama. Also, the songs were shot beautifully. They got a huge response on YouTube and are available on Mango Music.
