COVID was the biggest barrier to Tollywood in the last two years. With every wave coming, there was a huge loss to the Telugu film industry in every way. But few films still managed to fight against the COVID loss and brought back the glory of Telugu cinema in 2021. Krack, Uppena and Jathi Ratnalu did that feat after the first wave. Love Story, Pushpa: The Rise and Akhanda repeated the same after the second wave. Now there is another big boost coming up this February from Tollywood after the third wave. Let us discuss those films.
With the COVID scare, many films quit the Pongal race and Telugu films were not greatly celebrated for the festival with minimal releases. The postponed films include RRR, Radhe Shyam, Bheemla Nayak, Sarkaru Vaari Paata and Acharya. All the films got new release dates and the first to be released among them is Bheemla Nayak. The film starring Pawan Kalyan was announced to be released on 25th February, 2022. The makers of the film, Sithara Entertainments also had an alternative date in consideration. But they finally got stuck on an earlier date and announced recently that the film is going to be released on 25th February. Bheemla Nayak also stars Rana Daggubati as an antagonist. Another film from the mega compound is also going to be released on the same date. Varun Tej starrer Ghani is locked for 25th February. Varun can be seen in the role of a professional boxer in this sports drama. Sharwanand is also coming on the same date with a perfect family entertainer titled Aaadavallu Meeku Johaarlu. The film can be a perfect treat to the family audience as promised by the teaser and the looks. Young and talented actor Kiran Abbavaram is also trying his luck for the same date competing with the biggies. His film Sebastian PC 524 is coming on the same date. So with the multiple releases on 25th February, the Telugu audiences are going to get a great treat for the day. They can be served full meals with different dishes including the mass pulse in Bheemla Nayak, sports love in Ghani, family fun in Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu and guaranteed action in Sebastian PC 524.
