Virata Parvam starring Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi is going to be released this Friday, dated 17th June. The film is based on a Naxalite movement in the 1990s in Telangana. The film is centred on the love story between the characters Ravanna and Vennela, played by Rana and Sai Pallavi respectively. It is known from the trailer that the film is a woman-centric movie and it revolves around the character Vennela. The film’s trailer impressed the Telugu audience. Venu Udugula is the director of the film. The film’s pre-release event was conducted last night in Warangal, where the story actually belongs. Venu spoke a lot about the film in the event. He gave a message to the audiences, especially female audiences, that every woman should watch the film Virata Parvam.
Venu Udugula said that he was very much moved with a murder that took place in Warangal in 1992. The murder actually happened due to the political conflict between two oppositions. Virata Parvam is based on that event and conflict. Venu said that the idea to write the story of Virata Parvam started with the character of Vennela. “Vennela’s love is epic. Vennela is just like Siddeswari who loved Lord Shiva and Bramaramba who loved Mallikarjuna Swamy. Sai Pallavi accepting and playing the role of Vennela is the best part of the film. Eight such major characters in the film are female characters. Such an importance is given to females in the film. So, every woman should watch this film,” said Venu Udugula at the event.
Venu Udugula also said that Virata Parvam is not a commercial film, but a meaningful film. Virata Parvam is produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the banner of SLV Cinemas. Suresh Productions is presenting the film. Rana Daggubati is the lead actor. Priyamani, Nandita Das and Naveen Chandra played prominent roles in the film. Dani Sanchez Lopez and Divakar Mani are the cinematographers. Sreekar Prasad is the editor. Suresh Bobbili composed the music for the film. Virata Parvam is going to be released in theatres on 17th June.
