Dhanush, who most recently captivated audiences with “Captain Miller,” has signed to star in a biopic that is based on the life of the seasoned musician Ilaiyaraaja.
The veteran Tamil music composer’s biopic movie was officially launched in Chennai, earlier today. Titled ‘Ilaiyaraaja’, the first look poster of Dhanush was also unveiled, grabbing everyone’s attention.
‘Ilaiyaraaja’s’ first look poster showcases the iconic Madras Center in an antique style. In the scene, Dhanush, in vintage attire, is seen arriving in the city while holding a harmonium, symbolizing his intention to make a name for himself in the music industry.
Helmed by Arun Matheswaran, ‘Ilaiyaraaja’ marks his second collaboration with Dhanush, after Captain Miller.
Coming to the technical part, Ilaiyaraaja himself will compose the music for his biopic, while Nirav Shah is in charge of the Cinematography department, and Muthu Raju is the production designer.
‘Ilaiyaraaja’ is produced by Sriram Bakthisaran, CK Padma Kumar, Varun Mathur, Ilamparithy Gajendran, and Saurabh Mishra under the banners Connekkt Media, PK Prime Production, and Mercuri Movies.
Dhanush is currently working on a very astounding number of projects. For “Kubera,” he is presently collaborating with Rashmika Mandanna, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Sekhar Kammula. He is, however, also wearing the director’s hat for his most-anticipated movies “Raayan” & “Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam”.
