The much-awaited and controversial reality show, Bigg Boss Telugu 4 was launched yesterday, on September 5. The first episode premiered yesterday from 6 P.M to 9 P.M and has a good mix of popular figures selected across film, TV, music and social media platforms. Veteran actor Akkineni Nagarjuna returned to the show as a host after the highly successful third season. The first episode of Bigg Boss 4 Telugu witnessed some spectacular performances from the contestants for this year’s edition. The 16 houseguests entered the BB house after being tested negative for COVID-19 and being in a 14-day quarantine.
The contestants finally spend their first day in the famous Bigg Boss house and embark on their journey to win the show. We bring you the highlights of the first day in the Bigg Boss house. The contestants were given their first task wherein they have to answer a question which is taken randomly from a box. Monal when asked with a question gets emotional as she gets hit by a wave of nostalgia and begins crying following which Gangavva also gets emotional. Surya Kiran and Karate Kalyani remark by asking Monal to stick to the question at hand and not talk about matters irrelevant to the question.
When contestants were choosing their nominees for elimination, Gangavva is asked to choose a nominee to which she responds saying let both the contestants stay in the Bigg Boss house.

When contestants were asked to choose whom to save between Monal and Sujatha, a verbal argument broke out between Karate Kalyani and Sujatha. Kavitha remarks that Sujatha has a lot of anxiety and blames Sujatha for misunderstanding her to which Sujatha offers her point of view. A lot of words get thrown around to which Kalyani confronts Sujatha asking what her problem is for always pointing her out.
The final nominee list for elimination for this week are Abhijeet, Surya Kiran, Divya, Mehboob, Sujatha and Gangavva.
Following the list of nominees, Kalyani and Sujatha have a discussion where once again the argument escalates. Finally Kalyani goes to her bed and breaks down asking what her fault is in her actions and Lasya tries to cool her down.
