Indian Film industry is one of the largest industries of India. Our country churns out thousands of movies each year in many different languages. Remakes are a popular choice among makers and audiences. A successful movie which has universally attractive elements is remade in different languages after adjusting the movie to the respective audiences.
The Dhanush starrer Karnan (2021) which was released on 9th April was a super hit in the Tamil film industry. Karnan was based on the real life incidents that took place in Tamil Nadu in the 1990s. Reportedly, producer Bellamkonda Suresh has bagged the Telugu remake rights of Karnan. Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas is said to play the main role.
Another Dhanush starrer Asuran (2019) is also being remade in Telugu. The Telugu remake stars Venkatesh and Priyamani in the lead roles and is titled Narappa. Bellamkonda Srinivas last appeared in the Santosh Srinivas directorial Alludu Adhurs (2021.) Bellamkonda Suresh is also remaking the blockbuster movie and Prabhas starrer Chatrapathi (2005) in Hindi. This movie will mark the debut of Bellamkonda Srinivas in Bollywood.
