Story:
Gana (Naga Shaurya) is a young man who has a happy family and his sister, Priya, is the apple of his eye. She is engaged to Prince Cecil and is ready to marry him. However, suddenly, one day, Priya attempts suicide and is rescued by her brother, Gana.
Gana is clueless as to why Priya decided to take such a drastic step when she is going to marry. Priya tells him somebody was blackmailing her with intimate videos of her with an unknown man. She adds she may have been taken advantage of when she was unconscious.
Gana is shocked by this and starts his search for the culprits. He finds out similar incidents of young girls going missing for an indefinite time period and then being left at hospitals by miscreants. Gana slowly sets his search for the source of such crimes against women.
Does he find out who the culprits are? How does he avenge the wrong done to his sister? This forms the story of Aswathama.

Review:
Aswathama is a socially responsible movie and deals with an issue affecting India. The movie addresses the case of serial rapes and murders of young girls. The film is dark in the sense it shows a psycho villain (Jisshu Sengupta,) who enjoys torturing women in a heinous way. Aswathama deals with the issue of rape against women in a bold way.
Naga Shaurya is impressive as the angry young man ready to avenge the death of many women, apart from providing comfort to his sister. The actor also excels in action sequences quite impressively and proves he can also be a serious action hero.

Mehreen Kaur Pirzada, who plays the love interest of Naga Shaurya, has a limited role and is impressive in her avatar. Her comic timing is good, as always.
Bengali star Jisshu Sengupta fits the role of a psycho villain very well and excels in his character.
The scenes in the mortuary are really chilling to watch and require parental guidance.
Sricharan Pakala’s music is good and the background score is quite evocative of the film’s genre.
