Following the huge success of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, a poster and title were revealed for Allu Arjun’s next project. The movie titled Pushpa had Allu Arjun looking rugged and rustic while sporting overgrown hair and a beard. The poster quickly went viral on social media and was the highest viewed poster on Twitter for the day. The poster quickly got fans excited on what the story would be basing on Allu Arjun’s look considering how smart he looked in Ala Vaikunthaurramuloo.
Recently there were rumours of a second heroine in the movie who would also be Allu Arjun’s love interest in the movie. It was speculated that Nivetha Thomas would be playing the role of the second heroine. However, a source close to the movie has said that there is no room in the script for a second heroine, which would mean Nivetha Thomas starring in Pushpa is a rumour. Rashmika Mandanna is the only female lead who was confirmed officially and is learning Rayalaseema slang pon director Sukumar’s insistence.

According to rumours, Pushpa is the name of the female lead character Rashmika Mandanna in the movie and the plot revolves around her. Moreover, Rashika Mandanna would be seen as an Indian Forest Service officer and Allu Arjun’s love interest in the movie. Allu Arjun would be killed by some goons and it is probable that Allu Arjun’s soul then impersonates a lorry driver who smuggles red sanders wood.
Pushpa is being directed by Sukumar whose last directorial was Rangasthalam. Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Anasuya Bharadwaj and Vennela Kishore will be seen in supporting roles. Devi Sri Prasad would be composing the music while Mythri Film Makers will be bankrolling the movie. The film will be simultaneously released in Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil languages.
