Acharya, is the highly anticipated upcoming film which will star Chiranjeevi Konidela, in the lead role, under the direction of Koratala Siva. Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi will be seen on the same screen for the first time and fans are eagerly waiting for the action to unfold. There has been no talk about the antagonist in Acharya so far but now we might have an inkling of who it might be.
According to a source close to the movie, Jisshu Sengupta would be seen as the antagonist in Acharya. Koratala Siva is known for having strong antagonists in his movies and Jisshu Sengupta would only add to that reputation. According to the source Koratal Siva felt vindicated in his decision to cast Jisshu Sengupta as the antagonist and Jisshu even ended up impressing Chiranjeevi, the lead actor in Acharya.
Jisshu Sengupta was earlier seen as the antagonist in the Telugu movie Aswathama, which was directed by Ramana Teja and starred Naga Shaurya and Mehreen Kaur Pirzada as the lead actors. Recently, a first look poster for Ram Charan and a teaser for Acharya were released and fans were particularly excited to see Chiranjeevi in a dynamic role. If the teaser is any indication, fans would be in for a treat when watching Chiranjeevi on screen.
Acharya is being directed by Koratala Siva, well known for his hit movies like Mirchi, Srimanthudu and Bharat Ane Nenu. Chiranjeevi is set to play the role of a communist leader in the movie and Kajal Aggarwal has been roped in to play the female lead. Regina Cassandra will appear in a special song. Acharya is produced by Ram Charan and Anvesh Reddy under Konidela Productions and Matinee Entertainments banners, respectively.
