Tollywood director Trinadha Rao Nakkina today lamented that empty cinema halls have become the order of the day. The director, who is also the producer of the soon-to-be-released Chaurya Paatam, confessed to being scared of the prevailing situation.
“The situation is downright scary. Even star hero movies are not able to attract crowds. Do you know that shows are being cancelled these days for want of audience members? Cancellation of night shows has become normal in many centres. Evening shows are somehow getting by,” the director said.
The filmmaker remarked that he has experienced the shockingly dwindling admissions first-hand during his visits to Andhra Pradesh. “The situation is really pathetic. At a time like this, I have produced a movie like Chaurya Paatam with newcomers,” Trinadha Rao said.
Trinadha Rao Nakkina shot to fame with Raj Tarun’s Cinema Choopistha Mava in 2015. Nani’s Nenu Local and Ravi Teja’s Dhamaka are his biggest commercial hits. Mazaka, starring Sundeep Kishan and Rao Ramesh, was released in February 2025.
