Shankar is a director that needs no introduction. He is the force behind many phenomenal movies like Bharateeyudu (1996,) Aparichitudu (2005,) Robot (2010) and more which changed the face of Indian cinema. Ram Charan has signed a project with the ace director which was scheduled to commence in June.
Shankar is directing the sequel to Bharateeyudu titled Indian 2, which completed almost half of the shooting and is also remaking his movie Aparichitudu in Hindi starring Ranveer Singh. Controversy seems to surround Shankar this year as the production house of Indian 2, Lyca Productions has taken to the Madras High Court with regards to delay in the filming of the movie. While Shankar has given a counter affidavit explaining the delay, the decision by the court is to be awaited. The High Court’s decision will decide whether the project with Ram Charan will commence as per schedule or not. If the court decides in favour of Lyca Productions, Shankar will have to complete the shooting of Indian 2 before proceeding with the Ram Charan project.
Ram Charan is filming for two of the highly anticipated movies Acharya and Roudram Ranam Rudhiram(RRR.) The actor is sharing screen space with his father Chiranjeevi for Acharya. Ram Charan is essaying the role of the freedom fighter Alluri Sitaramaraju, while Jr. NTR is playing the freedom fighter Komaram Bheem in RRR. Alia Bhatt is the leading lady. This S. S Rajamouli directorial is bankrolled by DVV Entertainments and is slated to release across the world on 13th October 2021, ahead of Dussehra.
