Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Aadujeevitham, also known as “The Goat Life,” was reviewed earlier today by avant-garde filmmaker Mani Ratnam. The Goat Life’s producers organized a private showing of their film just hours before it opened to the public.
Aadujeevitham was screened for a limited group of Tamil cinema industry members before its official release on Thursday, including renowned actor Kamal Haasan and filmmaker Mani Ratnam.
Mani Ratnam, who recorded a video praising ‘The Goat Life’ said, “Prithviraj has done an amazing work. I don’t know how you people have done this. Blessy, I don’t envy you, it must have been very difficult”, he said.
“All the visuals are breathtaking and amazing. Congratulations”, Mani Ratnam said. Receiving praises from a 6-time national award-winning director, itself is a huge plus for The Goat Life, while the pre-bookings for the movie have so far been impressive too.

Prithviraj Sukumaran, who portrayed Varadharaja Mannar in Prabhas’ recent pan-Indian hit “Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire”, will appear as Najeeb, an immigrant, who fled Kerala’s verdant surroundings in the early 1990s in pursuit of wealth elsewhere in the world.
The Goat Life is based on the popular Malayalam novel “Aadujeevitham,” which has been translated into twelve other languages.
It is produced by Visual Romance Image Makers, Jet Media Production, and Alta Global Media, banners, and is helmed by the National Award-winning Blessy. Oscar-winning A.R. Rahman is roped in to compose the music for ‘The Goat Life’.
Hollywood icon Jimmy Jean-Louis, versatile actress Amala Paul, K.R. Gokul, and exceptional Arab performers Talib al Balushi and Rik Aby will appear in significant roles in the survival drama.
The dubbed versions in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi will be released on March 28 simultaneously.
