Malayalam’s one of the most-loved actors Privthiraj Sukumaran is all set for the release of his most-anticipated movie ‘The Goat Life’ or ‘Aadu Jeevitham’. Releasing in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada languages apart from its original Malayalam, the movie ‘The Goat Life’ is an adaptation of Malayalam’s survival novel ‘AaduJeevitham’.
Prithviraj Sukumaran, who has been actively promoting The Goat Life, was present at Hyderabad, where he spoke of his movie and what struggles the team had faced in the process of making the movie.
“In 2008, we started filming for The Goat Life. It was challenging at times to film in the deserts, according to Prithviraj.
“We even got stuck in the desert for three months during the pandemic,” Prithviraj disclosed. “There was absolutely nothing for us to do, and we returned to India in the Vande Bharat special flight not knowing even if the pandemic would end or not”.
“We made no compromises when creating The Goat Life. We are confident that the technical prowess will speak for itself because it is based on actual events”, said Prithviraj Sukumaran.
It should be mentioned that Prithviraj gained 31 kg initially and needed to shed that weight in 7 months.
“We restarted filming in the heart of the Sahara desert in Algeria, in a location called Timimoun, after a year and a half. There had never been a film team there before. We filmed the last portion in Jordan after leaving Algeria. Our goal was to wrap up filming by 2022 and begin the one-and-a-half-year post-production phase”, explained Prithviraj Sukumaran.
Speaking highly of director Belssy, Prithviraj Sukumaran said, “Blessy, sir, has a strong love for movies. He made it possible for us to film there. Every Malayalam filmmaker hopes to collaborate with Blessy Sir on at least one movie.”
‘The Goat Life’ is produced by Visual Romance Image Makers, Jet Media Production, and Alta Global Media, and is helmed by the National Award-winning Blessy. Oscar-winning A.R. Rahman is roped in to compose the music for ‘The Goat Life’.
The Goat Life’s Telugu release is presented by renowned Mythri Movie Makers.
Hollywood icon Jimmy Jean-Louis, actress Amala Paul, K.R. Gokul, and exceptional Arab performers Talib al Balushi and Rik Aby will appear in significant roles in the survival drama.
The Goat Life will be released in worldwide theaters on March 28, 2024.
