Megastar Chiranjeevi was conferred with Padma Vibushan, India’s second-highest civilian award. Soon after the news came out, celebrities extended their best wishes, while many of his wellwishers, fans and friends met him personally to convey their wishes.
To further enhance the grandeur of this extraordinary occasion, the Telangana government made a meritorious move to felicitate Chiranjeevi and other Padma Awardees in acknowledgment of their achievement. On February 4, 2024, at 10 AM, the felicitation will take place at Shilpakala Vedika.
Chiranjeevi and Venkaiah Naidu, the Vice President of India and a well-known politician, received a personal invitation from the recently sworn-in Chief Minister of Telangana, A Revanth Reddy, through Minister of Tourism and Culture Jupally Krishna Rao.
The occasion will honor the remarkable achievements of Telangana’s Padma Shri awardees in addition to Chiranjeevi and Venkaiah Naidu’s services to cinema and politics, respectively. This esteemed occasion will celebrate notable figures like Dasari Kondappa, Gaddam Sammaiah, Ananda Chary, Kurella Vitalacharya, and Kethavath Somlal, who are all acknowledged for their noteworthy contributions to literature and education.
