Teja Sajja, a well-known child artist turned a hero starring in Prashanth Varma’s directorial ‘HanuMan’. With highly positive initial reviews, the superhero movie has drawn audiences to the theaters from the day it hit the screens.
Early estimates state that on the second Friday of its release, HanuMan made ₹9 crore. Billed as a superhero movie, the movie has raked 98.8 Crore net India collections, while the gross domestic collections at the box office interpret 104.1 Crore.
The overseas collections interpret 38.5 crore for HanuMan, accounting to 142.6 Crore worldwide collections.
‘HanuMan’ achieves a rare feat in USA:
Teja Sajja and Amritha Aiyer as the lead pair, the movie HanuMan has managed to achieve a rare feat, as it stands on the top 5 lists of all-time Telugu grossers in the USA with $12 ticket pricings. ‘Baahubali 2’ has a score of collecting $20.7M, while Ram Charan and Jr.NTR’s ‘RRR’ collected $14.8M. Prabhas starrer Salaar stands at 3rd place, while it has amounted to $8.9M. While ‘Baahubali 1’ achieved $8.4M, Teja Sajja’s HanuMan has collected $3.6M.
It is quite amazing that a movie with not many famous actors can accomplish such a remarkable feat. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Getup Srinu, in addition to Teja Sajja, have played significant parts in HanuMan.
