Varisu Movie Review:
Varisu Movie Story:
Rajendran (Sarathkumar) is the biggest businessman in the nation when it comes to mining. His two sons, Srikanth (Jai) and Shaam (Ajay), stand by him and help their father in the business. His third son, Vijay Rajendran (Vijay), is not much interested in family business and has been staying away from the family for seven years. But one day, Vijay returns home to look after his father, whose health condition is not so good. Then, Rajendran hands over the responsibilities of the business and family to Vijay. Meanwhile, the bad guy, Jayaprakash (Prakash Raj), also chips in. What Boss Vijay does later for the company and the family is the rest of the narrative of Varisu. The son of the wealthy family is their only hope and love.
On-Screen Performances:
Thalapathy Vijay is at his best in delivering humour after a brief gap. It is known to the audience that Thalapathy has a unique style of comedy, which can be seen in Varisu, after missing it in his last few films. Yes, the boss returns in style in this part. The next best part is Vijay’s stylish action. Just like the film is a wholesome family entertainer, Vijay too delivers a package of his acting traits, with comedy and action standing as the highlights.
Rashmika Mandanna has just another commercial outing, and she pairs up great with Vijay. The actress has great energy on screen.
Varisu has a huge cast since its plot revolves around family. From Sarathkumar to SJ Suryah and Jayasudha to Khushboo, all the actors fit their roles and serve the purpose, despite their small or large ones. Yogi Babu and Jayasudha stand top on this long list of actors in the film.
Off-Screen Highlights:
Vamshi Paidipally wove every element of a standard commercial entertainer so perfectly, and the final web is strong enough to impress all sections of the audience. The comedy scenes are the best highlights of the film. The dialogue writing has produced enough laughs, particularly in the scenes between Vijay and Yogi Babu. The humour has been the best spice in this special dish for the festival. The film also has enough morals about family relationships. Overall, the film’s plot is set as a standard commercial family entertainer, but what makes Varisu special is Vijay’s return to complete entertainment after a brief gap. Thalapathy’s mark will undoubtedly provide the audience with a worthwhile viewing experience.
Thaman’s songs were already blockbusters before the film’s release. Well, the songs’ placement is nicely done. Speaking about the soundtrack, Thaman is once again at his best.
The film is technically solid with Karthik Palani’s cinematography and KL Praveen’s editing.
The film’s production values are outstanding. Since the plot involves a wealthy business family, the audience can see lavish homes, luxurious offices, and rich costumes.
Endnote:
Varisu is a complete entertainer that is designed to be that and delivers on the same basis. Yes, Thalapathy Vijay, the boss, returns in style with his comedy and action.
