Liger, a sports action drama from the duo of the director Puri Jagannadh and the actor Vijay Deverakonda, was released yesterday in theatres across the world. The film received decent and positive word of mouth from most of the audience, particularly both Puri and Vijay fans. They are loving Vijay Deverakonda’s intense and energetic performance as an MMA fighter. It is known to us that the film got a great number of advanced bookings for the release day. The film played to housefulls everywhere. Today, the makers of Liger released the box office collections for day 1 officially.
According to the makers, Liger grossed 33.12 crores at the box office worldwide on day one. The makers also said that the lead actor of the film, Vijay Deverakonda, delivered a solid punch at the box office. The makers also announced to the audience that the Liger hunt has begun at the box office.

Liger is produced by the director Puri Jagannadh himself in association with Charmee Kaur and Karan Johar. Puri Connects and Dharma Productions are the production houses. The film is getting a lot of attention, particularly because of the highlights – Vijay Deverakonda’s appearance and performance; Getup Srinu’s comedy timing; action episodes; and Mike Tyson’s screen presence.
