Tollywood has been facing a dead drain in the theatrical business in the last few days, as is known to us all. The films that were released in the last two months, particularly July, did not get the expected share as the audience were not willing to come to theatres much. There are various reasons for this issue. Be it the heavy production budget or the OTT issues, or the huge remunerations of star heroes, or anything else. One thing is for sure here. The issue is growing as the days pass by and it needs to be resolved as soon as possible. Tollywood ace producer Dil Raju is focusing on the issue personally and handling it in his own way for the best solution.
Tollywood’s upcoming movie shootings are halted by the Active Telugu Film Producers Guild (AFTPG), as known to us all. This is the collective decision of all the producers of Tollywood. The strike started on August 1st. Meanwhile, Dil Raju is coming up with different ideas and solutions to put an end to this issue. He has already formed four committees to observe, discuss and come up with a solution to the issue. These committees will discuss theatre and OTT issues, as well as the wages of artists and other technicians, among other things. A special meeting was held today by Dil Raju and C Kalyan regarding this.
After the meeting, Dil Raju stated that the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) is the ultimate decision-maker in Tollywood. C Kalyan said that the issue will be solved in 10 days and, thereafter, the shootings will resume as usual. The entire film fraternity is waiting for the decision to be made by Dil Raju and the other committee members.
