R Madhavan, aka Maddy, is one of the very few versatile actors India has. Starting his career in Kollywood, the actor has spread his wings to all other languages too. He became very popular and one of the most wanted actors in Bollywood. The actor equally impressed the audience of other languages, including Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Many say that Maddy is the true example of being a Pan-India actor. His upcoming movie, Rocketry, is going to have a Pan-India release. The film is going to be released on July 1st. As a part of promoting the film, Madhavan visited Hyderabad yesterday and spoke about the film in interaction with the media. In the Q & A session after the interaction, Madhavan answered a few questions on being a Pan India star.
One of the media reporters asked Madhavan about his journey of becoming India’s first Pan-India actor by doing films in multiple languages even before the word “Pan India” came into use officially. Madhavan responded that acting in Hindi became very easy for him because he did several series in Hindi when he was growing up in the North states. Maddy had the advantage of speaking the Hindi language with a perfect accent. Maddy also said that Chiranjeevi and Kamal Haasan were the two actors who paved the way for doing films in multiple languages. “For me, the path was easy because Kamal Sir and Chiranjeevi Sir had already laid it before me and I just followed them. The real Pan India stars currently are my friends Prabhas and Allu Arjun. They made films like Baahubali and Pushpa in their native languages and received national recognition and acclaim. They are the real Pan India stars. My other friends, Rana and Mahesh Sir, also belong to the same group. They do native films and they are admired in any part of the country,” said Madhavan.
Madhavan’s Rocketry is based on the true incidents that happened in the veteran ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan’s life. The film’s trailer looks very impressive, and it is so sure that the film will win the hearts of the audience across India.
