Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata is the most awaited movie in the Telugu states currently. The film got immense response and craze with the trailer and the songs. They looked very promising. The superstar fans are so happy that the director Parasuram presented Mahesh in a super mass avatar. Mahesh was too super confident about the success of the film even before the release and he stated the same during the promotions. Mahesh’s words are being proved true today after the film’s release. The Telugu audiences loved the film very much and the film is getting blockbuster talk right from the premiere shows. Let us look at the details of the film and discuss the highlights which impressed the audience and stole their hearts.

“Sarkaru Vaari Paata” Telugu Movie Review:

Story:

Mahi (Mahesh Babu) loses his parents in his childhood. They could not clear their debts in time and commit suicide, leaving just one rupee to Mahi. Later, Mahi gets settled in the states by starting a finance corporation. There he meets Kalaavathi (Keerthy Suresh) and falls in love with her. Kalaavathi cheats on Mahi and she needs to pay him a debt of 10 thousand dollars. Mahi encounters with Rajendranath (Samuthirakani), who is the father of Kalaavathi, to collect his debt and the face-off gets started. Rajendranath is also involved in a 10 thousand crores scam. How Mahi is related to that scam, and how does he collect the money back from Rajendranath is the rest of the story.

On-Screen Performances:

Mahesh Babu is back in his best business of delivering the performance which has the perfect and natural comedy timing in the film. As the film belongs to the genres of action and comedy, Mahesh perfectly balances the intensity in action scenes and his natural timing in the comedy scenes. The audience will surely experience Mahesh Babu in a never before mass avatar, presented by Parasuram in his own style. Mahesh’s looks, body language, and dialogue delivery are unique in the film. Going by the looks, Mahesh is ultra handsome and stylish. Mahesh adds style to Kalaavathi song and energy to Ma Ma Mahesha song. The film has a very strong plot about the loans and the interests, and if not Mahesh, no other actor could have delivered them better, just with the intensity and a strong voice expression in all the dialogues.

Keerthy Suresh is very gorgeous and gets a different role in the film as Kalaavathi, from those she plays regularly. Keerthy has two shades in her character and she perfectly balances them both. The chemistry between Keerthy and Mahesh in the first half worked very perfectly.

Samuthirakani perfectly justified his role as an antagonist. One cannot imagine anyone else in that role after watching his performance. The character of Rajendranath is so strong in the film, and Samuthirakani played it even more stronger.

Vennela Kishore in the first half and Subbaraju in the second half are in the driving seat along with Mahesh to provide lots of laugh to the audience.

Naga Babu and Pavitra Lokesh played the roles of Mahesh’s father and mother respectively.

Tanikella Bharani gets another prominent role in this film, again as a common man.

Nadhiya played the senior most bank official. Even though her role is small in terms of screen time, she is the one who played the major role in the film in terms of the plot and backstory.

Off-Screen Highlights:

Parasuram’s writing is the core strength of the film. Right from the plot and the back story to screenplay, comedy, and characterizations, Parasuram scores top class in every aspect of the film with his writing. The value of money is very well taught in the film and it is surely an eye-opener for the audience. He discussed about money, loans, debts, bank scams, politics, system, and a lot more valuable information in the film. “A person with no debts is stronger and happier”. This underlying message in the film has a strong impact on the audience. The love track between Mahesh and Keerthy, and the comedy track between Mahesh, Vennela Kishore, and Subbaraju were written so perfectly and provides the audience an unlimited entertainment. The little twist at the interval bang excites the audience for the plot packed second half. Parasuram highlighted another important message in the film, just like Koratala Siva did in Bharat Ane Nenu. “Everyone should have fear and responsibility towards system and society” in Bharat Ane Nenu. “Everyone should have fear and responsibility towards money and debts” in Sarkaru Vaari Paata.

Thaman adds another blockbuster album to his career. Kalaavathi and Ma Ma Mahesha adds strength to this mass and commercial entertainer. The title track of Sarkaru Vaari Paata also attracts the audience in the second half. Thaman’s background score is energetic and worthy every penny, as he always does.

Cinematographer Madhi and the art director AS Prakash needs a special mention. The visuals are so amazing, just like their work. The entire first half love episode is the mark highlight of Madhi. Ma Ma Mahesha is the mark highlight of AS Prakash.

Choreographer Sekhar also needs a special mention. Sekhar understood the body language of Mahesh so well and composed the dance moves for him. Kalaavathi and Ma Ma Mahesha are surely going to be one of the best works of Sekhar for a long time.

And of all, one major thing that should be definitely noted is the justification done to the title Sarkaru Vaari Paata by Parasuram with true heart.

We cannot steal Mahesh’s money, but Mahesh steals our hearts in Sarkaru Vaari Paata. The film is a wake-up call to all the money lenders and the debtors. Director Parasuram reminds the audience the value of money. Mahesh carries the entire film on his shoulders, bringing back the glory of the mass superstar we all have been waiting for. The duo of Parasuram and Mahesh paid the audience, both the principal and the interest for the one and half year long and worthy wait from the audience, by delivering a perfect mass entertainer with an underlying strong message.
