Ghani is a high intensity and power packed sports drama. Varun Tej turns professional boxer for the lead role in the film. The film is going to be released on 8th April, 2022. The makers of the film are promoting it so grandly. Talking about the film with the media, the producer of the film, Allu Bobby shared few things about the film.

Ghani is just set in the backdrop of professional boxing, but the film is more of family emotions. Ghani can also be seen as a family drama. Such pure emotions are explored in the film besides boxing.
Varun Tej was picked as the lead actor truly out of his skills and the interest he had in the film. “It is not like Varun is my cousin brother and so I have roped him in as the lead in the film,” said Allu Bobby. Varun himself prepared physically and mentally to do the role of Ghani. Turning out to be a professional boxer for the film with hardcore, intense and professional training was so tough. He started it as soon as he finished shooting for Gaddalakonda Ganesh. From then to till date, Varun just lived as Ghani.
Kiran Korrapati, the director of the film himself wrote the story and screenplay too. He narrated the story to Varun first. Varun loved the story and wanted Kiran to take the megaphone too. Later, Kiran narrated the story to Allu Aravind and Allu Bobby. They loved the story too and the project was on cards immediately.
Upendra and Suniel Shetty were picked as per the requirement of the characters in the film. “It is not like they are on board just to make Ghani a Pan-Indian film. Ghani has Pan-Indian standards with the content and the emotions packed in the film, and not the actors on board,” said the producer Allu Bobby.
