Senior actor Sunil is acting as a character artist again after many days. He once came to the industry as a comedian. After starring in almost 200 movies, Andala Ramudu became a hero with the movie. Even though the movie was a super duper hit, Sunil continued as a comedian again. However, with Maryada Ramanna, he became a full-fledged hero. He also worked out to get a six pack body and did action movies. Except Maryada Ramanna and Poolarangadu, Sunil was not able to bag any hit as expected. With that, he decided to go with the flow and took a U turn as a comedian.
For the past three to four years, he stopped waiting for hero characters and became busy as character artist. He turned into an antagonist with Disco Raja, Color Photo, Pushpa films. He did comedian roles in Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava, Son of India, and Chitralahari. Sunil also acted as an unusual villain in Allu Arjun’s recent blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise. His performance as Mangalam Seenu received good applause. Meanwhile, it is reported that Sunil is again becoming a hero in an upcoming movie titled Kumbhakarna.
In fact, Sunil is all set to make a comeback as a hero again with the film Vedantham Raghavayya that is penned by Harish Shankar. Meanwhile, this Bhimavaram guy is testing his luck as a hero once again with his next movie Kumbhakarna.
Debutant Abhiram Pilla is directing Sunil’s next movie Kumbhakarna, while Sai Kartheek, the popular composer is turning into a producer with the film. In this comedy flick, Sunil’s character is going to be hilarious. Music director Sai Kartheek is producing the film. Regular shooting will start soon. Sunil is expected to get back into form as a hero with this movie.
Usually the name Kumbhakarna immediately reminds us of Demon Ravana’s brother, who sleeps for six months continuously. But the tagline of this movie title- “Padukunte Potaadu” suggests if he falls asleep, he will lose his life. That is the protagonist cannot sleep, yet he is called Kumbhakarna.
