Samantha is playing the titular role in Gunasekhar upcoming big budget film Shaakuntalam. The shooting part of this much hyped film is wrapped up and is in the post production stage. Malayalam actor Dev Mohan is playing King Dushyanta. It is revealed that Kabir Duhan Singh is seen in the character of King Asura in the costume drama. Another glimpse of the movie is, Allu Arjun’s daughter Arha is making her acting debut With Shaakuntalam playing Prince Bharata in this Samantha‘s upcoming film.
Meanwhile, the producer of the movie Neelima Guna recently took part in a question and answer session on social media. She revealed many interesting things about the movie. Informing that Kabir Duhan Singh is playing the villain in Shaakuntalam, she said, “ He is playing the role of Asura Maharaja. He worked very hard in the action sequence for the movie.” She also clarified that the film will be released in a total of five languages. She also quoted that Allu Arha acted very cutely.
Aditi Balan will be seen as Anasuya, Mohan Babu as Kanwa Maharshi and Allu Arha will be seen as Prince Bharat. Gunasekhar is producing the film under his own banner Guna Teamworks. Manisharma is composing the music for the film. The film is scheduled to release soon.
Reportedly, director Gunasekhar was impressed with Kabir’s martial art skill and roped him in. The headgear that Kabir Dhuhan Singh wore weighed nearly 18 kilos. The shoulder and chest protectors were heavy too, and same with the jewellery. The Shaakuntalam team shot Kabir for over ten days during which he got bruises and scratches.
