The legend of Telugu cinema, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao requires no introduction. A pioneering actor in the Telugu cinema, Sr. NTR acted in over 300 films in his career spanning over four decades. Many of his movies were path breaking and moved Telugu cinema up a notch. His movies like Pathala Bhairavi (1951,) Malliswari (1951,) Mayabazar (1957) and Nartanasala (1957) have been included in CNN IBN’s list of ‘Hundred greatest Indian movies of all time’. Sr. NTR was not only a great actor but also a politician. His journey from a beloved actor to one of the best chief ministers of the combined Andhra Pradesh was simply remarkable.
