Awara was a fresh breeze to the industry which took us on a journey of romance. The film is a romantic drama directed by Linguswamy. The story revolves around a happy go living Shiva(Karthi) who is in love with Charulatha(Tamannaah.) In a bizarre turn of events, they both start a journey from Bangalore to Mumbai. What happens during the journey, will the one side love from Shiva blossom in Charulatha’s heart forms an admiring plot. Awara was a musical hit and still lifts up one’s mood on a rainy evening.

Sulthan is another commercial entertainer from Karthi. Setup in the mass background, the story revolves around henchmen and goons of a village. Vikram aka Sulthan(Karthi) loses his beloved mother at a young age, following her death he grows up in the environment of rowdies. He loves them but despises their means of using violence as living so he decides to bring a change in them. But fate has other plans when a bewitched business tycoon enters the village and targets them. How Karthi fights all the odds and saves his henchmen forms an entertaining plot.

Khakee is a story about a righteous cop, it is set in the background of 1990’s. Karthi pulls the role of Dheeraj as a cop who has an uncompromising attitude towards work. He is assigned on a task to nab the criminals who are looting the state and leaving no trails behind. How Dheeraj nabs these criminals forms an engaging plot.
