Uppena is an upcoming Telugu film, which will star Panja Vaisshnav and Krithi Shetty in the lead roles. Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi is the antagonist of the film. Uppena is directed by first timer Buchi Babu Sana and is gearing up for the big release in theatres on February 12, 2021.

Vijay Sethupathi needs no introduction as he alone is enough reason to watch. Vijay Sethupathi is the antagonist, who is playing the role of Krithi Shetty’s father in the film. Vijay Sethupathi plays a menacing overlord who doesn’t support his daughter’s relationship as she loves a boy from a lower caste. The actor has set a trademark as the antagonist after his menacing performances in Sye Raa and Master.
Rockstar Music Director Devi Sri Prasad composed the music for Uppena. So far, every song from Uppena became an instant hit with millions of views. The music album boasts the epic singers of the film industry like Javed Ali, Yazin Nizar, Haripriya, and Shreya Ghosal among others.
Uppena is a rustic action love story and tells the story of two young people, who are deeply in love with each other since childhood. The film hints at a tale of class/caste and disparity honour killing. The trailer shows that every epic tale of love has a commonality, which is meeting with a tragic end but does that really happen in Uppena is the biggest curiosity and major reason to watch the movie.
