The Daggubati Venkatesh starrer Narappa is a remake of the Tamil blockbuster Asuran, which starred Dhanush. The Tamil version is a superhit intense movie with some gritty and rustic acting performances. Narappa is one of the most awaited films for the movie buffs. Tamil superstar Dhanush played the lead in Asuran and many critics have praised his acting and called it one of the best performances of his career. Therefore hopes for Venkatesh to ace the look and feel in Narappa have been high ever since the first look was released.
The first glimpse of Narappa was released on Saturday as a birthday present to Venkatesh Daggubati who celebrated his birthday yesterday. The first glimpse video gave us the much awaited screen look of Venkatesh as the deadly Narappa. Venkatesh has perfectly captured the essence and intensity of Narappa and is as good as Dhanush from Asuran. Check out the video below.

The Telugu remake will see Venkatesh reprise the role Dhanush played in the original, Narappa an ageing farmer, while Priyamani plays the role of his wife Sundaramma in the film. The film has completed 60 days of its shoot at a rapid pace before the lockdown was issued in March, and now the remaining portions are being shot. The Telugu remake is directed by Srikanth Addala and is bankrolled by Kalaippuli S. Thanu and Daggubati Suresh Babu, under the banner of Suresh Productions. The film also stars Prakash Raj, Karthik Rathnam, Murali Sharma and Sampath Raj in crucial roles.
