Adivi Sesh established himself as an actor who does not shy away from doing unconventional roles and movies which are not mainstream Tollywood. Ever since the mystery thriller Kshanam was released, Adivi Sesh has been on a roll with notable hits and Sesh’s last movie Goodachari won accolades for its gripping screenplay so much so that a sequel was announced.
Adivi Sesh interacted with his fans on a Twitter activity where he tried to answer as many fans as possible. During the course of the many interactions some discussions veered towards Sesh’s next project which is Major. The movie is based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan who lost his life in the Mumbai terrorist attacks. Sandeep Unnikrishnan is an Ashoka Chakra recipient, India’s highest peacetime military decoration awarded for valour, courageous action or self-sacrifice away from the battlefield. Adivi Sesh said Major will release in theaters first and only then will it be available for streaming on online platforms. Moreover, Sesh also said the shooting for Major has resumed and the movie has reached the 40% completion mark.

Major will be jointly produced by Mahesh Babu, Sony Pictures India and A+S Movies. This movie will also mark the debut for Mahesh Babu as a producer with his banner GMB Entertainments. Sobhita Dhulipala would be starring in Major in an emotional role. Shobita’s role will have its own character development arc as well. Shobita Dhulipala was also a part of Goodachari, Adivi Sesh’s last film.
