Mahesh Babu Remembers Debut Film Raja Kumarudu On 21st Anniversary

Mahesh Babu is one of the most popular actors in the film industry.  He is fondly known as the ‘Prince of Tollywood’ among the Telugu audience.  Mahesh Babu is also one such actor who managed to garner fame from his debut film Raja Kumarudu itself. 

Mahesh Babu made his debut in the film industry as a child artist and performed along with top stars.  At the age of  24, Mahesh Babu made his debut as the protagonist in the Telugu film industry with Raja Kumarudu.  Starring Bollywood beauty Preity Zinta as the leading lady,  K. Raghavendra Rao directed the film.  All songs composed by Mani Sharma for the romantic drama went on to become chartbusters in no time.

Mahesh Babu’s debut film Raja Kumarudu, which was released today on July 30th, 1999, completed 21 years.  Taking the occasion into account, Mahesh Babu got all nostalgic and remembered his debut film.  Mahesh Babu took to Twitter and wrote, “21 years and how.  Thank you @Ragavendraraoba for making my first a super special one. The learning that came with the experience is something I’ll always cherish.  Extremely glad to have known and worked with you and our amazing team #21YearsForRajakumarudu (sic.)’

On the work front, Mahesh Babu will begin the shooting of his upcoming film, Sarkaru Vaari Paata once the ongoing Coronavirus situation gets back to normalcy.  The film is directed by Parasuram and the first look of the commercial entertainer received a roaring response from netizens.  Keerthy Suresh is likely to essay the leading lady’s role in the film.
