It was announced several months ago Rana Daggubati would be starring in a big budget mythological drama titled Hiranyakashyapa. This movie is one of Rana’s most ambitious projects after Baahubali and if reports are to be believed, a huge amount of extensive pre production works spreading over a span of three years went into Hiranyakashyapa.
Hiranyakashyapa is being directed by Gunasekhar and he has been working on this project for four years. The filmmakers are said to have spent a whopping 15 crore rupees on pre production till date and most of the works took place in the United States of America (USA.) Director Gunasekhar has been shuffling between India and the USA to lay the groundwork for Hiranyakashyapa.

According to the latest buzz going around Tollywood, one of Hollywood’s major production houses, Fox Studios is reportedly holding talks with Rana Daggubati. Furthermore, it is being speculated Fox Studios has agreed to co produce Hiranyakashyapa along with Suresh Productions. The project has several Hollywood technicians already on board and there is a high possibility of an announcement regarding Fox Studios beingto be made in the near future.
On the professional front, Rana Daggubati will be seen in Aranya, where he will be seen as Bandev, who protects forests from illegal land poachers. Rana will also be seen in another upcoming movie Virata Parvam which stars Sai Pallavi and Priyamani. Virata Parvam is said to be based on the naxalism which was prevalent in Andhra Pradesh during the 1990s and Rana will be seen as a naxal leader.
