Ritu Varma who amazed the Telugu audience with her performance in Pelli Choopulu and Kannulu Kannulu Dochayante. With the success of both her Telugu films, the actress is being flooded with numerous offers.
Ritu Varma has four Telugu films in her kitty. The actress’s untitled bilingual film with Sharwanand has completed 70% of the shooting. Tuck Jagdish with Nani is in the mid production stage. Ritu also has another untitled film with Nag Shaurya. The shoot of her ongoing films has been put on hold due to the COVID-19 crisis and the commencement of the films are also delayed due to the same reason.
Meanwhile, Ritu Varma says she is very much ready to resume the shooting. In an interview with a leading daily, the actress said, “I’m waiting to resume shooting my films. But, as of now, I didn’t get a call from any of my filmmakers. Apparently, though permission is given, everybody feels it is better taking some more time. Of course, it’s a good decision. There will be 100 to 200 on sets every day. It’s utterly important that everyone is safe(sic.)”
Ritu Varma also says Telugu films will always be her first priority and she is ready to experiment acting in different genres.

On the work front, Ritu Varma was last seen with Dulquer Salmaan in the bilingual film Kannulu Kanulanu Dochayante, a romantic heist comedy. The film also featured Rakshan, Gautham Menon and Niranjani in important roles. The film was released on February 28th and has performed well at the box office with its unique storyline. Kannulu Kanulanu Dochayante is now being re released in France and Dubai.
