Aditi Rao Hydari and Karthi starrer Kaatru Veliyidai, which is titled Cheliya in Telugu, was directed by Mani Ratnam. The film completes 3 years of its release today. Kaatru Veliyidai in Tamil and Cheliya in Telugu was hugely loved by the audience and also has won two National Film Awards.
Today, as it completes 3 years, lead actress Aditi Rao Hydari took to her Twitter and expressed how special Mani Ratnam’s Cheliya(Kaatru Veliyidai) is for her. Sharing a throwback picture of her holding a rose for Mani Ratnam, Aditi wrote, “#ManiSir… The reason I believe dreams come true. #3YearsOfKaatruVeliyidai #Believe #Magic #NeverGrowUp.” Aditi has always been vocal and never shied away from expressing her admiration for Mani Ratnam.

Aditi Rao Hydari and Mani Ratnam have worked together in two films, Cheliya (Kaatru veliyidai) and in Nawab (Chekka Chivantha Vaanam). The film Cheliya revolves around Kargil War of 1999, the film narrates the story of an Indian Air Force with a pinch of romance with Aditi as she plays the role of Leela. The music of this film was hugely loved as it is composed by A. R. Rahman.

On the work front, the duo of Aditi Rao Hydari and Mani Ratnam will be yet again seen in the upcoming star studded film Ponniyin Selvan.
