Music maestro Ilaiyaraaja, who gave life to more than 1000 movies in various Indian languages, is all set to be honoured on November 28th, 2019, at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) Golden Jubilee closing ceremony. The legend will be honoured for his contribution to Indian film music.
On November 27th, the maestro took a masterclass about how to compose background score for a movie. The moderator was Bollywood director R. Balki, who made films like Shamitabh and Paa with Ilaiyaraaja. Ilaiyaraaja, with his team of musicians, regaled the Goa audience who were ecstatic listening to him and humbled by his presence at the festival.
The legendary composer played many orchestrated background pieces from his musical oeuvre and interacted with the audience in a jovial mood.
The day was memorable as the maestro sang some of his favourite songs. In short, Ilaiyaraaja gave a musical gift to Goa.
