Legendary playback singer S.P. Balasubrahmanyam (S.P.B.,) is busy these days with his singing assignments worldwide. Maestro Ilaiyaraja’s go to man for male playback singing, has also sung for one of the Ilaiyaraja compositions for the Vijay Antony film Thamilarasan.
Now, there is joyful news for both S.P.B.’s and Superstar Rajinikanth’s fans. S.P.B. is all set to return to Rajini films, with Darbar. The ace singer is noted for his introductory songs in Rajinikanth’s movies, right from the early days of Rajinikanth’s film career.
However, of late, he was not a part of Rajini movies, including Robo, Kaala, Lingaa, Kabali and 2.0.
Now, for the joy of the fans of both the legends, S.P. Balasubrahmanyam is crooning the introductory song for Darbar.
S.P.B. shared his thoughts about the song with the media as follows, “The intro song happens in a situation where people praise Rajini for a good thing that he did. He stops the people from that and tells that it was his basic duty to safeguard people. He will tell them not to heap praises on him. He would also tell that if he removes the police dress that he wears, he is also a common man like them. That is when he would sing a song for the masses. The song has come out really well. My heartiest thanks to Anirudh [Ravichander], the production team and Superstar (sic.) “
We are all ears for your song, S.P.B. Sir!
