Recent times saw many people from Uyyalawada village in Rayalaseema complaining about the producers of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy not giving them enough compensation for acquiring the rights to make the movie.
Team Sye Raa was perplexed with many people approaching producer Ram Charan’s office as the successors of the Narasimha Reddy clan. Narasimha Reddy, the historical figure who fought the Britishers in the late 18th century, had three wives. However, with as many as ten to eleven people claiming compensation, Team Sye Raa issued an official clarification.
Producer N.V. Prasad gave clarification about the controversy. He said, many people were blackmailing Ram Charan to give compensation in huge sums for using the village agricultural land for shooting. Prasad clarified there was no shooting conducted in Uyyalawada, on the ancestral land of the people who belong to the Narasimha Reddy clan.
Prasad also added, Megastar Chiranjeevi promised to install a statue of Narasimha Reddy in the village and feed the whole village on the installation day.
Prasad said, if people still have any problems, they can approach the High Court and fight the case legally.
