- Rakshasudu
Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas scored the biggest hit of his career with this Telugu remake of the Vishnu Vishal cop drama Ratsasan. Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas made a good remake and reaped dividends. This movie secured 10.1 TRP.
- Maharshi
The Superstar Mahesh Babu starrer Maharshi revolutionized film viewing with a new theme of weekend farming as an antidote to solve farmers’ problems of lack of government funding. The movie secured 9.2 TRP and stood in the top 5.
- Oh! Baby
This Telugu remake of a South Korean movie created a positive buzz with its sensitive theme of taking care of the elderly and the aged in a family household. Samantha Akkineni was noted for her performance as a 60 plus aged woman who inhabits the body of a 24 year old girl. This movie scored a TRP of 9.
- Jersey
The classic act of Nani as a failed cricketer in Jersey, coupled with a touching screenplay by director Gowtam Tinnanuri, won the hearts of many cinegoers. The movie was a big critical success, with many Indian critics rating Nani’s performance as one of the best of the year. Jersey secured a TRP of 8.8.
- Majili
This story of a star struck cricketer who spurns his career for a girl, but reconciles with his doting wife, stood as one of the major hits of Naga Chaitanya in 2019. Samantha, as a responsible wife to Naga Chaitanya, too, gave a good performance. This movie got a TRP of 7.9 and stood in the 8th position.
- Vinaya Vidheya Rama
This powerful action drama by Boyapati Srinu made all heads turn as Ram Charan was given an image makeover by the director—from a lover boy to a dialogue king. This film was noted for Ram Charan’s punchlines and his action sequences and secured 7.90 TRP.
- Sita
Director Teja is unique in choosing his themes and subjects for his films. His film Sita, featuring Kajal Aggarwal and Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, was noted for how the hero was portrayed. Sreenivas nailed his role of a 20 plus man child who protects his beloved, Sita, from the villain. This movie garnered a TRP of 7.53, making it one of the most loved movies on television.
