The Telugu Film Producers Council today extended its heartfelt gratitude to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Minister for Human Resources Development Nara Lokesh, Minister for Tourism and Cinematography Kandula Durgesh, and the AP Film Development Corporation for their welcome decision to introduce a “new policy for the development of the Telugu film industry” in the State.
The TFPC, the Telugu Film Commercial Council, and various representatives of Tollywood, and prominent producers have previously called on the aforementioned dignitaries to “present proposals related to the development of the Telugu film industry”. Their proposals include these: the construction of studios and establishment of infrastructure facilities in Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, and Rajahmundry, along with the allocation of land for the construction of housing for producers, artists, directors, and technical experts.
“We hereby express our full support and cooperation to the Government for the rapid development of the industry in the State. Furthermore, we have requested the revival of the Nandi Awards and the awarding of pending honors,” the TFPC said. T Prasanna Kumar, the TFPC Secretary, issued the statement in this regard.
