Teja Sajja as the main lead, the movie ‘HanuMan’, which elevates Indian mystical character Lord Hanuman as a superhero, was theatrically released on January 12. The makers of this wildly popular film, which is directed by Prashanth Varma, had pledged to donate the Rs. 5 that was collected from each ticket sold to the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
Team HanuMan, earlier on January 21, ahead of Ayodhya Rama’s Pranaprathishta, announced on social media that they have chosen to donate ₹2.6 crore to the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The team provided an overview of the breakdown of “HanuMan” movie ticket sales thus far.
In a statement, the producers thanked the 53,28,211 donors (ticket buyers) who contributed a total of Rs 2,66,41,055 to the Ayodhya Ram Mandir in support of this worthy cause.

The makers of HanuMan had already donated Rs 14 lakh from their first day of collection. Having Teja Sajja, Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar, Getup Srinu, Vinay Rai, Vennela Kishore, and others in main roles, the movie HanuMan has been doing phenomenally well at the box office. Produced by PrimeShow Entertainment’s Niranjan Reddy, HanuMan is presented by RKD Studios.
‘HanuMan’ will have a sequel, titled ‘Jai Hanuman’, as the makers promise to create an Indian version of the Superhero Universe.
