Suriya’s Retro will hit the screens on a grand scale on May 1st. The Telugu States release is by Sithara Entertainments.

Directed by Karthik Subbaraj of Jigarthanda fame, the film’s first song, titled Bujjamma, was released today. Shot on Suriya and Pooja Hegde, the Santhosh Narayanan composition had lyrics written by Kasarla Shyam.
Malayalam actor Joju George, Jayaram, Prakash Raj and Karunakaran are essaying pivotal roles. Retro boasts a stellar technical crew, including cinematographer Shreyaas Krishna, and editor Mohammed Shafique Ali. The film is produced by Jyotika – Suriya.
Production designer Jackie’s work is among the major highlights of Retro. “He doesn’t just build sets, he creates whole new worlds. Even when the director says it’s enough, Jackie keeps adding more. He puts in double the effort and makes every frame look rich and beautiful. He is the star behind the art direction,” the makers have said. Sherif Master has choreographed the dances.
