Actor Sagar is a very well known household name in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh as he is popular for his portrayal as R.K. Naidu, in the superhit television series Mogalirekulu. Renowned movie producer Dil Raju announced a new small budget project titled Shaadi Mubarak, which has Sagar as the lead. Shaadi Mubarak is touted to be a romantic entertainer and is being helmed by debutante director Padmasri. Malayalam actress Drishya Raghunath will be seen as the leading lady in Shaadi Mubarak. Sagar, plays the character of Sunnipenta Madhav, who is a NRI and returns to India in search of a suitable life partner. He gets in touch with a marriage bureau and the owner agrees to set him up with potential partners. However, things take an interesting turn, when the marriage bureau owner sends her daughter Satya Bhama Thupakula (Drishya,) along with Madhav for bridal viewing. The journey of the duo forms the rest of the plot.
Sagar, who has an immense fan following in the Telugu states for his acting prowess in Television serials, has proved his niche with Shaadi Mubarak. Sagar did justice as a NRI and his chemistry with Drishya is a delight to the eyes. Although Sagar is relatively new to the feature film genre, his comic timing is a fresh dosage of entertainment.
Malayali actress Drishya Raghunatha, who marked her debut in Tollywood with Shaadi Mubarak, is stealing the show. Drishya, who is playing the role of Satya Bhama Thupakula, is also on a quest to find a perfect groom and her specifications to find a ‘perfect type’ is hilarious. Her character is obsessed with a good last name and her reasons to get married are amusing.
Just like most movies, Shaadi Mubarak also goes through the same plot of the lead pair misunderstanding each other in the early stages and then realising their mistakes only to fall in love. However, what makes it special is that the debutante Director Padmasri, tried an interesting path by infusing the idea of bridal viewing.
Comedians Rahul Ramakrishna and Bhadram generate a good amount of laughter. Along with comedy, the film is also filled with emotions and sentiments. Cinematography and background score of Shaadi Mubarak deserve a special mention, as they are top notch.
