Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s words carry so much weight, for he weighs his words carefully. Pottel, to be released in theaters on October 25, is the latest film to be endorsed by the Animal and Arjun Reddy director.
“I knew the story before watching Pottel. I knew that the scale of the movie was going to be large in terms of locations and budget. When I watched Pottel recently, I was impressed with the performances and the narration. Ajay garu and others have nailed it. I congratulate the entire cast and crew for making a superb film. Pottel presents a new kind of treatment. Young filmmakers rarely shoot their movies in rural settings. We have seen Rangasthalam in recent times,” Sandeep Reddy said, suggesting that Pottel is an authentic village-based intense drama.
Yuva Chandraa Krishna, Ananya Nagalla and Noel Sean have key roles in Pottel.
Actor Ajay is playing Patel, a feudalistic role. “The entire unit shot for 50-60 days in a village under the scorching sun. We didn’t have access to amenities either,” the actor, who was recently seen in Devara, said.
The film drives home the importance of education. “We might be born poor but the only avenue through which we can get out of poverty is education. That’s what Pottel talks about,” Ajay added.
