Naveen Chandra, since he shot to fame in 2012 with Hanu Raghavapudi’s Andala Rakshasi, has been unstoppable. From the vulnerable romantic lead to the steely-eyed antagonist, he has got to display versatility onscreen. In this section, TFN takes a look at his popular outings.
Andala Rakshasi, co-starring Lavanya Tripathi and Rahul Ravindran, immediately established him as an actor capable of nuanced emotion. Following this, he did have a brief spell of not-so-popular movies.
In Dalam, directed by B Jeevan Reddy, Naveen Chandra took on a more serious role as an ex-Naxalite.
Things changed dramatically for him in 2017. His foray into mainstream commercial cinema with Nani’s Nenu Local as SI Siddharth Varma proved to be a game-changer.
Naveen Chandra’s collaborations with an A-list director like Trivikram Srinivas in Jr NTR’s Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava further solidified his position as a reliable supporting/negative actor. His role as DSP Ashok Krishna in Adivi Sesh’s Evaru was another interesting one.
Up next, he will be seen in Blind Spot, a mystery thriller directed by Rakesh Varma. The film also features Raashi Singh, Ali Reza, Ravi Varma, Gayatri Bhargavi, Kishore Kumar, Harika Pedada, and Harsh Roshan and is produced by Ramakrishna Veerapaneni. Its theatrical release will be by UV Concepts.
