Actor Karthi was the chief guest for the trailer launch event of Thandel in Chennai. Speaking on the occasion, he spoke about the efforts that have gone into mounting the film.
Karthi said that he was pleasantly surprised to know that Thandel is based on some true incidents that took place in the year 2018. “The makers of Thandel secured the consent of twenty individuals (who were detained by Pakistan after they were accused of straying into their waters) before commencing the project. The film was in the making for years and was mounted over 1.5 years. This is no small deal. Producer Allu Aravind garu has been around for decades. He is a passionate businessman,” Karthi said.
Karthi was all praise for Naga Chaitanya. He also recalled working with Nagarjuna on Oopiri.
The event was attended by Kollywood producer SR Prabhu, Sai Pallavi and Devi Sri Prasad as well. Allu Aravind said that Karunakaran is going to make an entry in Telugu with Thandel. He said that the audience will understand the depth of acting output delivered by the hero-heroine duo when they watch the movie on February 7th.
