Story:
James aka Santosh Kumar (Puneeth Rajkumar) works as a manager in a security company named J-Wings. James comes across a dark world one day where he witnesses power brokers and businessmen who are actively attached to the crime syndicate. How James fights against the world of the mafia to save the people around him and the nation is the rest of the screenplay.
On Screen Performances:
Puneeth Rajkumar being the lead actor of the film drove the film entirely on his hands. James is a one man show. James shows Puneeth’s extreme skills in stunts and action sequences. Puneeth also did great moves in the dance numbers. Also, the lead actor looks so stylish in the film. His screen presence added the extra boost to his exceptional performance.
Priya Anand, the leading lady looks so gorgeous and justifies her role. She perfectly fits the role and repeats her beautiful chemistry with Puneeth after Raajakumara.
Sarath Kumar and Srikanth did a good job in the roles they are assigned.
Shiva Rajkumar and Raghavendra Rajkumar will be a surprise package to the audience. The brothers along with Puneeth Rajkumar together on the big screen will be an eye feast to watch.

James is technically strong. Right from the story to the making, every single aspect is technically brilliant and the credit goes to the entire crew of the film. Director Chetan Kumar selected a very impressive concept for the film. The screenplay too is gripping. With an elegant script in hand and power packed performance from Puneeth, Chetan did great at executing the story. The mafia world is shown in detail and the security agencies are highlighted. The touch of patriotism is another great sign in the film.
Action sequences are the major asset of the film. They form the best part of making James an action entertainer. Credit goes to the stunt coordinators Ravi Verma, Ram-Lakshman and Chetan D’Souza. The interval block and the climax episodes are the best action highlights of the film.
Cinematographer Swamy J Gowda made his mark in the visuals of the film. James has lavish looks and the dark world balanced equally together. The action sequences are shot beautifully. The lighting setup for projecting the mafia world in the dark mode is a great work.
The background scores from Charan Raj uplifts the spirits of the film in all the elevational scenes. The score in the interval block is extremely good.
