Veteran actress Jayasudha is chairing the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards jury. A meeting was held under her aegis. Telangana Film Development Corporation Chairman and leading producer Dil Raju requested the jury members to review the nominations impartially.
Speaking on the occasion, Jayasudha stated that the jury is taking the responsibility entrusted by the government as a challenge and will complete the selection process accordingly.
Dil Raju said that the jury members should work in a way that brings national-level recognition to the Telugu film industry. He mentioned that the government has appointed highly qualified experts to the jury. He also stated that the government is presenting film awards after 14 years.
Dr. S. Harish, Managing Director of the TFDC, stated that the government has constituted a 15-member jury for the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards. He noted that a total of 1,248 nominations have been received across all categories. The screening of these nominations will begin on April 21st.
As many as 1,172 nominations were received in individual categories, and 76 nominations were received in feature films, children’s films, debut films, documentaries/short films, film critics, books, and other such categories.
Here is the list of state awards finalized: NTR National Film Award, Paidi Jayaraj Film Award, BN Reddy Film Award, Nagi Reddy and Chakrapani Film Award, Kantha Rao Film Award, and Raghupati Venkayya Film Award.
